OV-op-Maat Amstelland-Meerlanden

OV-op-Maat is a sustainable and flexible transport service to order in the Amstelland-Meerlanden region. It has replaced the big bus that drove infrequently. You decide when you will be picked up at your bus stop and where you will be dropped off. In other words: OV-op-Maat runs when you need it! 

Where does OV-op-Maat run?

The OV-op-Maat cars currently operate within Amstelland-Meerlanden in three separate areas:

  • Rijsenhout - Hoofddorp/Schiphol Rijk
  • Abbenes/Buitenkaag - Nieuw-Vennep Getsewoud, Station
  • Uithoorn - Nes ad Amstel -Amstelveen

You can only travel within one area with OV-op-maat. So not from area to area. OV-op-Maat can stop at all regular bus stops in these areas.

When does OV-op-Maat run?

Line 149

  • Monday-Friday, fixed schedule with a small vehicle from 06:30 to 19:00
  • After the fixed schedule, reservations from 19:00 to 21:00
  • Saturday-Sunday-Holidays, reservations from 08:00 to 21:00

Line 163

  • Monday-Friday, fixed schedule with a small vehicle from 06:30 to 19:00
  • After the fixed schedule, reservations from 19:00 to 21:00
  • Saturday-Sunday-Holidays, reservations from 08:00 to 21:00

Line 164

  • Monday-Friday, fixed schedule with a Connexxion large vehicle from 06:30 to 19:00
  • After the fixed schedule, reservations from 19:00 to 21:00
  • Saturday-Sunday-Holidays, reservations from 08:00 to 21:00

Making a reservation

Outside of bus hours, you should always reserve an OV-op-Maat car. If you need a bus immediately, it will appear at the agreed location within 30 minutes. You can make a reservation up to 14 days in advance via the app.
Please note that you cannot stop an OV-op-Maat car like a cab on the street. Even if there is (still) room in the car, you cannot just board it, as there may be other passengers with reservations later.

Making a reservation per telephone

You can also order OV-op-Maat by calling 088-6000987. OV-op-Maat is available by phone on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on weekends and holidays from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The driver will call you if you are not ready at the chosen stop. After one minute, he/she may decide to continue driving. The ride is then canceled. If you paid in advance, the cost of a missed ride is yours.

Travelling together

Our system works per person. It is therefore possible that you will be picked up by different vehicles if you make a reservation separately. If you want to travel together, order for several people (maximum 8) from the same location and with the same account. If you travel with more than 8 people, order 2 times with 2 different accounts.

When a person makes a reservation for a group, s/he also will pay for the entire group. It is not possible to pay individually. Any repayment must be settled amongst the group members themselves.

Fares

  • Your ride will be charged at the normal public transport fare. In the OV-op-Maat app you can see how much your ride will cost. When you book by phone, you can ask for the price of your chosen ride.
  • Children in strollers can ride for free. Children not in strollers count as an extra passenger.
  • If the driver has to take detour, you will not have pay extra.
  • Subscriptions and (age) discounts are valid provided you pay with your personal OV-chipcard.

Payment methods

When booking with the app, you can pay immediately with iDeal or credit card. You can also choose to pay in the OV-op-Maat car. Then you pay the driver with your OV-chipcard, debit card or credit card. Cash payment is not possible.

How does it work?

  1. You can make a reservation using the OV-op-Maat app or by calling 088 - 6000 966. If you need a bus immediately, it will arrive at the agreed location within 30 minutes. With the app you can make a reservation for that moment as well as for a later moment. This is not possible if you make a reservation by telephone. In the app you can indicate where your journey starts and where you want to go. The app shows you where the nearest bus stops are located. When you call, our customer service will advise you.   2. At the indicated time, go to the specified departure point.This is always a regular bus stop.
  3. Board the bus and pay by debit card, credit card or with OV-chipkaart. When travelling on credit you pay the standard public transport fare. Do you have a subscription or discount card for the journey? Then it is also valid.
  4. Don't forget to check out when you arrive at your destination.
